The Malaysian "Now Everyone Can Fly" inspirational news

This is inspirational from a Malaysian!. Yup, Now everyone can fly, the true Malaysia BOLEH success story. Check out Tony's wiki too.

(The Star) KUALA LUMPUR: “If you don't dream, you'll never get there” – this is AirAsia Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Tony Fernandes' message to young entrepreneurs.

And it is perhaps this maxim that helped him win the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Malaysia 2006 Award.

Fernandes also feels that Malaysia is a unique country, where “a nobody can go out there and do something.”

“I was selling records five years ago, and was given a chance to restart an airline, competing against a national airline.

“I don't think many countries allow you to do that,” he said last night after receiving the award from Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Fernandes, who is also the recipient of the Master Entrepreneur of the Year Award, will be representing the country at Monte Carlo in May for the 7th Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

In his speech, Najib said entrepreneurs were the pulse and lifeblood of the economy as they had a remarkable ability to identify business opportunities.

The other winners at the event were Kenny Goh and Henry Goh of Macro Kiosk Bhd, who were named Emerging Entrepreneurs of the Year; Simon Loh of e-pay (M), named Technology Entrepreneur of the Year; and Nafisah Radin of NR Architect, named Woman Entrepreneur of the Year.
